Don plays bass guitar, adds backing vocals, and sings lead on Happy to Be and The Night We Met. Grandson of the Scottish sea captain who invented fish-oil-based Rust-Oleum paint, Don served as president of his family business long before re-discovering his love of playing music and co-founding Vanaka and One Ride Records.
The journey from Rust-Oleum to Rock-and-Roll saw Don reinvent himself as upscale travel writer, couples retreat facilitator, executive coach, and author. He was a Hall of Fame gymnast at the College of William & Mary, a graduate of Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, and “Student of the Year” graduating the University of Santa Monica’s Spiritual Psychology masters program with a concentration in Consciousness, Health & Healing. Today, his life mission is to learn, to love, and to laugh often, in an exquisite life balance – and support others to live an extraordinary life.
