Vivien Alexander

Vivien sings back up vocals and harmony on For A Good Time and The Sweet Spot on Vanaka’s Gratitude album.  In live performances she sings harmonies and backing vocals on many of the other tracks.

Vivien was born and raised in Zimbabwe, and in 1992 moved to California with her husband Marc, a prominent prosthodontist.  In 2000 they moved to Santa Barbara with their 3 children.  Vivien has been a Realtor since 2004, selling and buying homes in association with Village Properties of Montecito.

She has had a love for music for as long as she can remember.  In 2010, she acted on that love by forming an all-female rock band called Midnight Mynx, becoming the lead singer.  Stacey Fergusson joined the band as bass player, and she, Vivien and J.R. Richards collaborated on an original Midnight Mynx song for distribution on iTunes aptly named Someday is Today.  Midnight Mynx continues to rock Santa Barbara with frequent – and fun – live performances that get everybody dancing.
