Oriana Sanders

Oriana sings lead on Silver Girl and Love Lets Go (Butterfly Beach), along with harmonies and backing vocals on many tracks of the Gratitude album.  Her performance on Silver Girl is all the more heartfelt because Oriana herself is a cancer survivor.  She appears in the lead role in the music video for Silver Girl, filmed in Scotland, and also in the music video for Happy to Be.

A Southern California native, Oriana has a life-long history of music, beginning with her childhood debut at a county fair, followed by talent shows, musicals, choirs, and singing on two movie soundtracks in high school, Shirley Valentine and Home Alone.  Declining an offer to audition for the Mickey Mouse Club, she eventually joined a reggae band, then auditioned for Soul Majestic.  She got the job – and a husband, Soul Majestic founder Eric Iverson.

Oriana has recorded several Soul Majestic albums, including one at Bob Marley’s studio in Jamaica, toured the U.S. and Canada, and sang back-up vocals with international reggae artists Anthony B and Queen Omega.  Oriana lives in Santa Barbara, with her husband, two kids, and Rozee and Luna, the Yellow Labs.
